- Approve and monitor budgets, ensuring resource allocation is directly linked to strategic priorities like staff professional development or supporting learners with high needs.
- Scrutinise financial reports to ensure solvency and long-term viability.
- Evaluate value for money, questioning how well resources are being used to improve curriculum, teaching and training.
- Oversee major capital projects and investments to ensure they align with the provider's educational vision.
